How Can You Look After Your Septic Tank During The Winter? Do you need to do anything different?  – Video Transcription

Mark Ward:

Not especially. The difference in the winter is that typically if you’re discharging into a soakaway, the ground conditions may be wetter because the water tables increase. However, there’s not really anything different than you need to do in terms of usage. You just need to be mindful that you’re always following the guidelines in terms of what you should and shouldn’t put down the tank to avoid any blockages. But no, the usage for the winter is pretty much the same as any other time of the year.
