ABOUT WES
Specialist knowledge. Practical advice. More than 35 years in off-mains drainage.
Ward Environmental Services brings together decades of hands-on experience in surveys, consultancy, system design, installation and complete project delivery across the South of England.
From a straightforward question about an existing septic tank to a complex commercial installation, our approach is the same: understand the site, establish what’s needed and recommend the right way forward.
OUR STORY
Experience that goes beyond installation
WES was built on practical experience across every stage of off-mains drainage — from product knowledge and system design to installation, compliance and project delivery.
That breadth of experience matters because no two sites are the same. Ground conditions, access, discharge requirements and how a property is used can all affect the right solution.
Today, WES supports homeowners, property professionals, landowners, developers and commercial clients from first assessment through to final handover, with ongoing servicing and maintenance available through EnviroServ.

Meet the team
Mark Ward
Managing Director
Mark has worked in the off-mains drainage sector since 1987, building experience across technical product knowledge, sales, system design, installation and project delivery.
Having been involved in more than 1,500 installations, Mark brings a practical understanding of what works on site as well as the technical knowledge needed to navigate compliance, design and more challenging projects.
That experience continues to shape the WES approach today: look at the whole site, explain the options clearly and deliver a solution that works for the people using it.

WES TODAY
One joined-up approach, with specialist support around it
WES remains focused on specialist surveys, consultancy, system design and installation. Around that core service, the wider business provides a clearer route from initial advice through to long-term system care.
EnviroServ is the aftercare arm of Ward Environmental Services, providing servicing, inspections, repairs and ongoing maintenance for septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and other off-mains drainage systems.
In 2026, WES acquired Country Drainage, an established off-mains drainage business with more than 40 years of experience. Together, WES, Country Drainage and EnviroServ provide a joined-up service from consultancy and Compliance Surveys through to installation and ongoing maintenance.
Trusted by homeowners, professionals and commercial clients
Every project is different, but the things our clients value tend to be remarkably consistent: clear advice, good communication, careful workmanship and knowing there’s an experienced team managing the job properly.
